For those interested in learning more about the roles of director, producer, stage manager or technical support, please attend our workshop on April 21st from 12:00-2:00pm at the Soper Reese Theatre. No experience is necessary; one need only have an interest in live theater and/or a desire to become more involved with the arts in Lake County.
There is no obligation to commit yourself to a job; just come and learn more about them! Lunch will be provided.
Are you a fan of live theater and would like to get more involved in the local community theater scene? The Lake County Theatre Company is in search of energetic people who are interested in learning how to direct, produce, stage manage, or run tech.
“Unfortunately we just don’t have enough people doing the behind-the-scenes work. There is a small handful of us filling these roles, and we need more in order for LCTC to continue being a successful community theater group,” says Tim Barnes, LCTC director of the recent production of George Orwell's Animal Farm. “A lot of work goes into these shows, but I always end up having far more fun than I expect. Seeing it all come together is really cool, and I am always thankful I got to be a part of each production.
"It's also a great way to meet new people and make friends,” adds Barbara Garrett, one of LCTC's few stage managers.
